(AUDIO) ZAC BROWN MADE IT BY DOING IT HIS WAY

Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band, has never been one to follow the crowd or do things because everyone else is doing it and ultimately it has served him well in his career.  Zac says, “Early on I had a lot of people telling me that I needed to do a lot of things. I think it took longer for us to make it than it did for a lot of bands. I mean it took us 10 years of grinding on the road and playing to get to do it, but we got to do it our own way and it was worth it because of that. I don’t like to dance for other people.”

Zac knows that his way took a little longer, but he says, “I like to try to be real and play the music and write the music from my heart and from my life and from the experiences that we have. I’m not capable of doing anything else. I think that if I couldn’t have made it being myself, I would still just be traveling around and playing clubs and doing that.”

Zac Brown Band is currently working on their next album, the follow up to Jekyll + Hyde.
