As a father to three daughters, Justin Moore says his daughters definitely have an impact on the music he writes and records these days, although he clarifies, “I don’t sit down and try to write a song for the girls or pick songs for the girls, but you know, anything you go through in your personal life, whether it’s good or bad or fulfilling or not, I think it changes you as an artist in the way that you hear things and the way that you write things and what comes out of you.”
Justin, whose latest single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink” just landed at #1 on both major U.S. country charts and in Canada, says, “There’s songs that prior to being a father that I probably wouldn’t have been touched in the same way by as now being a father I have been.”
Justin’s new single will be “Somebody Else Will,” the song he says challenged him the most vocally on his latest album, Kinda Don’t Care.

Justin Moore – daughters influence songwriting :31
“I don’t sit down and try to write a song for the girls or pick songs for the girls, but you know, anything you go through in your personal life, whether it’s good or bad or fulfilling or not, I think it changes you as an artist in the way that you hear things and the way that you write things and what comes out of you. So yeah, it’s changed me for sure over the years. There’s songs that prior to being a father that I probably wouldn’t have been touched in the same way by as now being a father I have been.”
