Rascal Flatts has won the Vocal Group of the Year award six times at the CMA Awards. They’re nominated again this year and Joe Don Rooney says, “It’s the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards. Wow! It’s such an honor for us to be nominated this year for CMA Vocal Group of the Year.”
Gary LeVox agrees and says, “Having won this award six times over the years, it’s incredibly special to be considered. Especially with so much talent in this category.”
It was 2002 when Rascal Flatts won their very first CMA Award, the Horizon Award, and Jay DeMarcus says, “Here we are almost 15 years later and we’re still on the ballot and going strong. It sure has been a fun ride.”
Rascal Flatts is enjoying the holidays season with the release of their very first Christmas album, The Greatest Gift of All, which is available now, plus they’re in the studio working on their next studio album. You can see if they’re able to win their 7th CMA Vocal Group of the Year trophy Wednesday night when the CMA Awards air live for Nashville at 8/7 C on ABC.
