(AUDIO) JUSTIN MOORE’S DAUGHTERS HAVE DEFINITELY IMPACTED HIS MUSIC

Justin Moore has three young daughters, all under the age of six, and they have definitely had an impact on his music, from the songs he’s written, to the songs he chooses to record by other writers.  Justin says, “We all draw from our personal experiences and what we’re going through at the time.  If you ask a brand new artist or an artist who’s done it for a decade or three decades, I think you would find that the trend is that everybody pulls inspiration from what they’re dealing with at the time.”

There were times early on in Justin’s career that he worried a song might be too personal and un-relatable to other people, but he says, “I’ve learned over the years that if it’s real to you, then it’s real to the masses because everybody takes things differently and applies it to their lives,” and he says, “I’ve listened to songs and recorded songs, since being a father, that I otherwise probably wouldn’t have listened to or recorded, and it’s a good thing.  I think it’s made me more well-rounded.  And anything that happens positive in your life on a personal front, I think affects you in a positive manner on a professional front as well.”

Some people would say Justin’s latest album, Kinda Don’t Care, is his best one yet, so whatever impact his daughters are having on his music, it’s definitely positive.

Justin Moore – daughters affect music  :54

“Oh definitely, especially as a songwriter, but I think as an artist as well.  We all draw from our personal experiences and what we’re going through at the time.  If you ask a brand new artist or an artist who’s done it for a decade or three decades, I think you would find that the trend is that everybody pulls inspiration from what they’re dealing with at the time, and I’ve learned over the years that if you do that, if it’s real to you, then it’s real to the masses because everybody takes things differently and applies it to their lives.  I’ve listened to songs and recorded songs, since being a father that I otherwise probably wouldn’t have listened to or recorded, and it’s a good thing.  I think it’s made me more well-rounded.  And anything that happens positive in your life on a personal front, I think affects you in a positive manner on a professional front as well.”
