(AUDIO) TRENT HARMON STRIVES TO HAVE STAGE PRESENCE LIKE THE JUSTINS

Trent Harmon is always working on his craft, including his songwriting, his performance skills and even his stage presence.  Two guys that Trent has a lot of admiration for when it comes to stage presence are Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber.  When he watches Justin Timberlake on stage and sees how fluidly and effortlessly he moves around the stage, Trent says, “He’s so in tune with the show.  You don’t get there by accident. I mean we’re talking hundreds of hours, a LOT of trust.”

Where most people go to a live show and take a lot of the little nuisances for granted, those are the types of things that blow Trent away.  A perfect example, he says, “I was just watching a show the other day, maybe a clip or something on YouTube and (Justin) Bieber was, who I’ve never seen live, but I was watching this and he was walking across the stage to get a drink of water. And on the way there he gave one of his dancers a handshake.  And they never ever quit, nobody ever quit dancing. He just walked right past them, they did a handshake without looking at each other and he just kept walking. You know and I thought, that wasn’t by accident. I said that was completely planned. They just know the show so well. But you don’t get there without doing it a hundred times.”

Trent will have plenty of time to work on his own stage presence and the presentation of his music, like his latest single, “There’s A Girl,” with shows this spring and summer.  You can keep up with his touring schedule at TrentHarmon.com.
