When Trent Harmon was on American Idol, he got a lot of applause and response from fans while singing cover songs, and now that he’s getting a chance to sing his own original songs, like his latest single, “There’s A Girl,” getting that feedback from fans is even more gratifying.  Trent says, “There’s nothing else like it in the world. It’s the strangest most wonderful gift, that you can be given the idea to write that song and then to give it to other people and have them receive the gift and appreciate it.  And it’s great whenever you can tell that they got it. And you know, you know within, I know within the first verse if I’m doing an original.”

For Trent it’s gratifying to know that he’s reaching people with his own music.  He says, “It’s so good to know that they’re engaged in it and they’re attentive and they’re being respectful and they get the song.”
