Reba has starred in television sitcoms, on Broadway, in movies, and now she’s working on a new TV series with Desperate Housewives creator, Marc Cherry, and when it comes to acting roles, Reba doesn’t have one dream role. She says, “A dream role would be ten different kinds because I would like to hit all facets, you know the kooky neighbor down the hall or the heroine in a western. There’s just so many different types. I love to watch television. I love movies. So acting is something that it entertains me. Television and movies entertain me so I love to be entertained but I also love to entertain people. So by watching that I want to get in there and do it myself. So I don’t have one specific dream role, I guess you could say.”
In Red Blooded, the new television show Reba is working on, she plays Sheriff Ruby Adair in Oxblood, Kentucky, who has to deal with what is believed to be a terror attack on the town’s Fourth of July parade. In talking to CMT’s Cody Alan, Reba said, “I’m a dark character. I’ve got a lot of flaws and demons, and I’m having a lot of problems in my personal life. My town is being disrupted and I’m having to deal with it all. I’m under a lot of stress.”
Besides working on the new TV show, Reba is also promoting her latest single, “Back to God,” which was recently released as a duet with Contemporary Christian Music star Lauren Daigle.
