Before being able to make his living in the music business, Drake White used to own his own landscaping company. Now that it’s the time of year when everybody is getting out and working on their yards and planting, Drake offers some of his best gardening tips. He says, “When you’re planting something always read when to plant something. Always read shade or no shade, look at the details. Look at all the little things from the scientific to the grubs to everything around it and just keep it watered with good rain water. Here’s the number one tip. Get a 55 gallon drum and put it under your gutter, and cut your gutter off and put it running into that and gather rain water and water all your plants with that rain water. That’s the best tip I can give you.”
Now that Drake is busy with his music career, touring and promoting his latest single, “Makin’ Me Look Good Again,” he confesses that his own plants are suffering, and that a few have perished while he’s been on the road.
