(AUDIO) REBA McENTIRE HAS NO PROBLEM LEARNING FROM HER YOUNGER PEERS

Reba McEntire has been in the music business for almost 40 years, and while she has plenty she could teach some of the newbies in the business, she also believes she can learn from them.  In fact, Reba is not opposed to trying things that she might see some of her younger counterparts doing in their careers.  She says, “I like to try new things and if I can’t think it up and nobody around me’s thinking it up, the ones who are successful have already thought it up.  And to learn from them and watch, I don’t care who I’m learning from.  If it’s a great idea, pattern after it.  I mean, try to do the same thing and do a different version of.”

Plus, Reba believes that if she branches out and tries new things that other successful artists are doing, it could help her build her fan base.  She says, “Their fans evidently love what they’re doing, and evidently those fans could be my fans if I do something similar.  So why not be open to expanding your fan base, try new things, being more open.  I don’t like to do the same thing over and over.  I get very bored with that.  I have the attention span of a two year old sometimes, so I like to do new things.  I like to be reinvented.”

Reba definitely reinvented herself on her latest album, Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope, which is the first inspirational album she’s ever recorded, featuring her single, “Back to God.”
