The video for Brantley Gilbert’s latest top ten single, “The Weekend,” features him and his wife in a playful story line that has Brantley believing she sold his beloved muscle car, when in fact she had it cleaned up and restored.  As far as their performances, Brantley says, “It is one of those things where we weren’t trying to win Oscars. It was just a fun video. It was a lot of fun.  It was something cool to do together with the band with her.”

Brantley admits it took a little coaxing to get his wife, Amber, to star in the video with him because he says, “She was nervous about it at first because she can be kind of timid. She’s kind of quiet and does her own thing.”

But eventually she agreed, and Brantley was thrilled with the finished result.  He says, “The director, Shane, just an unbelievable director and has always worked awesome with me in the past and has worked awesome with the band.  Everybody around him loves him and she fit right into it. I mean he worked unbelievable with her and he said she had a niche for it. It was a lot of fun. You know we had a blast with it.”
