(AUDIO) A THOUSAND HORSES REMEMBER HUSTLING AT CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL IN THE EARLY DAYS

A Thousand Horses is looking forward to talking to their fans and performing some of the new music off their Bridges EP, which was just released last week, during this week’s CMA Music Festival.  Lead singer Michael Hobby remembers attending the festival with Bill Satcher before they were in A Thousand Horses together.  He says, “Yeah we used to go down there when Bill and I and Graham had a band before this one. When we first moved to town and we would actually go down to CMA Fest with a CD player and a pair of headphones and a box of CDs and we would try to sell our CDs to people.”

All things considered, the guys say their early efforts at CMA Music Festival were somewhat successful.  Michael says, “We’d like stop people, and a lot of people were really nice.  They were like, ‘Oh heck yeah.’  They just give us you know here’s five bucks or 10 bucks like you know, ‘Way to be out here hustling in the heat.’”

This year it will be much easier for fans to get A Thousand Horses new music, including their latest single, “Preachin’ to the Choir,” which is available with the click of a button or the tap of a scree, anywhere digital  music is sold.

A Thousand Horses – CMA Music Festival  :25

Michael Hobby – “Yeah we used to go down there when Bill and I and Graham had a band before this one. When we first moved to town and we would actually go down to CMA Fest with a CD player and a pair of headphones and a box of CDs and we would try to sell our CDs to people, which actually was successful, well slightly.  But we’d like stop people, and a lot of people were really nice.  They were like, ‘Oh heck yeah.’  They just give us you know here’s five bucks or 10 bucks like you know, ‘Way to be out here hustling in the heat.’”
