(AUDIO) CARLY PEARCE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF BEING A DADDY’S GIRL TO GET TO DOLLYWOOD

When Carly Pearce was just 16 years old, she convinced her parents, and mostly her dad, to let her drop out of high school in favor of home schooling, so that she could move to Pigeon Forge with her mom and become a full-time performer at Dollywood.  That seems like a pretty incredible thing to get her parents to agree to, so we wondered, is Carly just a really good sales person, or is her dad a bit of a softie when it comes to what she wants.  She says, “I think it was a combination. I think my parents have always been really supportive and really leaned on me to let me steer where I wanted my life to go and my dreams and they really listened to me. But I also think, you know, it never hurts to be the only daughter and going to your dad and smiling and saying, “But, daddy…”

Fortunately, that crazy idea Carly talked her mom and dad into back then is paying off now, because Carly is using all that experience she gained at Dollywood to get out and perform and grow her career while her debut single, “Every Little Thing,” makes its way up the charts.
