(AUDIO) DRAKE WHITE WANTS PEOPLE TO ASSOCIATE HIS MUSIC WITH A CAMPFIRE

There are certain artists who have managed to brand themselves and their music with an image or a feeling, like Kenny Chesney with the ocean, and Drake White is hopeful that people will associate him and his music with a campfire.  He says, “I want folks to think of a camp site of a campfire sitting around and the camaraderie around that fire because that’s where I first started learning to entertain people and play guitar. And I don’t know many people in this world that you can light a good fire set around it in a good comfortable chair with a guitar picker and a good voice and a songwriter around a campfire, I don’t know many people that would turn that down or say that’s really not for me. It’s really where things take place for me. And it’s a magical spot so I want my brand to be associated with that campfire, with that flame. The band’s called The Big Fire, the album’s called Spark and I love sitting around a fire.”

You can find Drake’s latest song, “Makin’ Me Look Good Again,” on his Spark album.

Drake White – why fire significant  :50

“When you think of Kenny Chesney you think of a beach, like you think of this brand. When you think of Drake White and The Big Fire and in building this brand, I want folks to think of a camp site of a campfire sitting around and the camaraderie around that fire because that’s where I first started learning to entertain people and play guitar. And I don’t know many people in this world that you can light a good fire set around it in a good comfortable chair with a guitar picker and a good voice and a songwriter around a campfire, I don’t know many people that would turn that down or say that’s really not for me.
