When Brantley Gilbert first got his American Bulldog, Sylo, about three years ago, he used to take him out on the road with him, but after a couple of years he realized that Sylo would probably be happier at home on his farm where he could run around and be free. But now that he’s been off the road for a while, Brantley laughs and says, “He’s a mess. Since (Sylo’s) been at the farm he’s kind of a little wild’n out now. He doesn’t have anybody that’s workin’ with him on sittin’ or stayin’ or none of that, he just runs absolutely wild. He doesn’t get as much attention as he used to, so he just, when he sees you he panics. He doesn’t know what to do with himself. His whole body shakes and he tries to jump and put his hands up and touch you and do all that.”
Brantley, whose latest single, “The Ones That Like Me,” is climbing the charts, says Sylo has managed to get so excited when he sees him that he’s busted his lip a couple of times, but fortunately he hasn’t done too much damage.
