Carly Pearce has known since she was a little girl that she wanted to be a country music singer, so finally having that dream come to fruition is not only a dream come true for her, but also for her parents, because of the sacrifices they made to help her pursue her dream. “My parents let me quit high school at 16 and home school, and kind of separated their marriage so that my mom could move with me to Pigeon Forge, so I could sing at Dollywood,” explains Carly. By the way, her parents are still married, but while Carly worked at Pigeon Forge, her mom lived with her, away from her dad, to make it possible.
Besides sacrificing living under one roof, Carly says, “Through the years they’ve supported me and loved on me and given me the tools to be able to chase this crazy dream since I was a little girl. So this is very, very much a dream come true not only for me but for them. I’m an only child and I’m so close to them and I owe them so, so much for everything that they’ve sacrificed for me.”
Needless to say, with Carly’s song, “Every Little Thing,” on the verge of becoming her first #1 song, it’s an overwhelming sense of validation that all the hard work and sacrifice of her entire family was worth it.
