Florida Georgia Line spends a lot of time on the road, which might make it difficult to write new material for future albums, but Tyler Hubbard says they make it work. “Any time we’re off the road we’re pretty much writing songs. But now, we bring a Tree Vibez Music – which is B.K. and I’s publishing company – we bring a tour bus just for writers to come out on tour, and kind of bring ‘em to us. So we get to jump on that bus and write during the day while we’re on the road and you know just keep the creativity going and trying to stay really relevant and creative all the time and inspired.”
Off the road they have Brian Kelley’s treehouse, which is part studio, part creative space, part hangout, to keep them inspired. They also seek out other studios to work and create in because Tyler says, “[We’re always] trying to keep bettering [ourselves] as songwriters as well.”
The guys are in the middle of working on their fourth album, while their current single, “Meant to Be,” with Bebe Rexha, continues to dominate the Country Hot 100 chart.
Florida Georgia Line – how find time to write songs :28
Tyler Hubbard – “Any time we’re off the road we’re pretty much writing songs. But now, we bring a Tree Vibez Music – which is B.K. and I’s publishing company – we bring a tour bus just for writers to come out on tour, and kind of bring ‘em to us. So we get to jump on that bus and write during the day while we’re on the road and you know just keep the creativity going and trying to stay really relevant and creative all the time and inspired. And anytime that we’re home we’re either in the tree house or in the studio somewhere working trying to write, trying to keep bettering ourself as songwriters as well.”
