(AUDIO) SUGARLAND … DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK

When Sugarland announced they were releasing their new single, “Still the Same,” after a five year hiatus, some people wondered if this was a reunion?  A comeback?  A revival?  Kristian Bush says he sees it as a continuation.  Jennifer Nettles agrees and calls it simply, “A new chapter.”

To use an analogy, Kristian says, “It’s like lines move from left to right when you draw them.  And for me, we never picked the pencil up [and stopped drawing the line], we just put it down.  So [now we’ve picked the pencil up again and] the line just keeps going.”

“Still the Same” is the first release off Sugarland’s forthcoming album and the name of the tour they will kick off in May.

Sugarland – a continuation  :13

Kristian Bush – “Hmmm, continuation?  A chapter?”

Jennifer Nettles – “A new chapter, yeah.”

Kristian – “Yeah, you know, it’s like lines move from left to right when you draw them.  And for me, we never picked the pencil up, we just put it down.  So the line just keeps going.”
