Carly Pearce will be spending a lot of 2018 on the road, with spots on Blake Shelton’s and Thomas Rhett’s tour announced and more to come, so she’s hoping to be able to take advantage of having a tour bus with a mini kitchen. She says, “I’m excited, especially having a girl on the road that eats healthy too, cause on the road it’s so hard. I’ve eaten so many Quest bars I can’t even tell you, just trying to not eat, you know, the bad things at an airport. So I’m going to try some different things.”
The “Hide the Wine” singer has been getting advice from other women on the road who share her healthy eating lifestyle (Carly eats a Paleo diet) and she says, “I know the Runaway June Girls and Lauren Alaina they all travel with a cooler. And that seems too difficult for me, I’m too lazy for that. But if I have a bus I’m going to try to cook some things and bring them on the road. That’ll make me feel a little bit more normal.”
Carly’s diet includes a lot of raw and cooked vegetables, some of which can be pungent, but she says, “The boys (her band members) will deal with my Brussel sprout and kale smell.”
