(AUDIO) THOMAS RHETT IS BLOWN AWAY BY HIS GRAMMY NOMINATION

When Thomas Rhett got the news that his latest album, Life Changes, was nominated for Country Album of the Year at this year’s Grammy Awards, he was blown away because he says, “there’s a lot of really great albums that come out every year and we put so much hard work and time in the studio to this record, that to be nominated for a Grammy is definitely a massive cherry on top to a already incredible year.”

The album nomination is also special for Thomas, because Life Changes, which features his latest single, “Marry Me,” has a lot of personal songs on it and Thomas says, “I think that’s why I’m so proud of it. [Also, we] went in a couple different directions that I think we never in a million years thought we’d go and it’s just been amazing to see how awesome it’s been accepted by country radio, and our fans and can’t wait to see how it shakes out at the Grammys.”

You can see if Thomas is able to take home the Country Album of the Year trophy at this weekend’s Grammy Awards, which will air live from New York, Sunday night at 8pm/7pm CT on CBS.
