Midland knows that when it comes to opinions about their music, the way they dress and whether or not they’re ‘authentic,’ everybody has one.  The “Make A Little” singers know they are living and singing and dressing authentically, which is why Jess Carson says, “You’ve got to have a certain element of not caring what anybody thinks in this business otherwise you’d be like a pinball, you know, being bounced around.”

Referencing Aaron Tippin’s song, “You’ve Got to Stand for Something (or You’ll Fall for Anything), Jess says, “You know it’s like that kind of a credo. And I think that’s definitely a part of what we do. And some people are gonna not get it and some people are and you just kind of got do what speaks to you and what flows out of you naturally.”
