Two of Justin’ four children are school-aged – Ella, who’s in second grade, and Kennedy, who’s in kindergarten – which means from time to time he and his wife, Kate, have to attend parent teacher conferences. Justin was a little concerned because he says, “Ella had a bit of a shaky year last year going from kindergarten to first grade. So we had a little bit of anxiety going into that conference and everything was great. Grades are great; everything’s good. So that was good.”
But even with one good report, Justin and Kate were still a little worried because Kennedy tends to have her daddy’s laid back, “Kinda Don’t Care” about much attitude. “Ken kind of has that attitude,” says Justin. “She’s like ‘whatever I’ll do it if I want to.’ So we were a little bit concerned going into her [parent-teacher conference] but she’s doing great, too. So we got good reports and they’ve not been in major trouble yet so we’re excited about that.”
So luckily for Justin, whose latest single is coincidentally called “Kinda Don’t Care,” he had nothing to worry about when it comes to his girls behaving well in school.
Justin Moore – parent teacher conference :50
“We had at parent-teacher conferences with Ella, who’s in second grade, and Kennedy, who’s in kindergarten. And so Ella had a bit of a shaky year last year going from kindergarten to first grade. So we had a little bit of anxiety going into that conference and everything was great. Grades are great; everything’s good. So that was good. But we were very, very concerned about Ken because, I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing but I just don’t really care about much. I’m laid back, I kind of let everything roll off my back. And Ken kind of has that attitude. She’s like ‘whatever I’ll do it if I want to.” So we were a little bit concerned going into hers but she’s doing great, too. So we got good reports and they’ve not been in major trouble yet so we’re excited about that.”
