When Carly Pearce chose “Hide the Wine” as her second single she says, “I think that I really wanted people to see a fun side of me.  They saw the serious side with ‘Every Little Thing’ and this is just as big of a part of who I am and my story and the kind of songs that I write.”

While Carly didn’t write “Hide the Wine,” she instantly related to it the first time she heard it and knew other people would too.  She says, “I think it’s just a confession that so many of us go through as women.  And I’m sure that the guys know exactly this girl who, you know, just calls that person when they’ve had a little bit too much to drink and it’s just a fun confession that I think is an interesting twist lyrically.”
