Sugarland just kicked off their Still the Same Tour, and for fans wondering what they can expect, Sugarland plans to serve up a mix of new music off their forthcoming BIGGER album, which will be released on June 8th, and a lot of their previous hits. Jennifer Nettles says, “Obviously, part of the joy of this is getting to revisit all these songs that we haven’t played over the past few years that of course we love because they’re ours. But to get to do new stuff it’s really thrilling and to get to use all these skills. You know, one of the reasons that we did want to take a break is so that we could have something new to say and new skills to offer each other and new experiences and new inspirations and come back with full cups and I feel like we have done that.”
One thing fans don’t have to worry about is hearing their favorite old Sugarland songs completely reworked or revamped. While some people might expect Jennifer and Kristian to reimagine or freshen up their old songs, Kristian says, “Part of this is understanding that if Sugarland is your favorite band, you really don’t want them to screw around with your favorite song. And it’s important to me if I go see my favorite band that they not futz with my favorite song. Like, I need a couple of the details exactly the same as the last time I heard a Police record, you know.”
If you want to familiarize yourself with some of Sugarland’s new music, you can pre-order their BIGGER album and you’ll receive four instant downloads, including their newest single, “Babe.” You can pre-order the album on sugarlandmusic.com.

Kristian Bush – “It’s awesome. Like I want to just play ‘Lean it on Back’ like eight times and get high or something. The songs, they’re coming alive and that’s fun when they’re not just in a studio but they’re under your hands and your band.”
