Trent Harmon just released his debut album, You Got ‘Em All, but the year leading up to its release was a challenging one, and Trent says he definitely leaned heavily on his faith to get him through it. There were some matters that had to be worked out with Trent’s recording contract before he could even begin recording his album, so he focused strictly on songwriting for a year and he says, “There were a lot of points where I was like, ‘God, if you’re up there, and I believe you are, I need some help. I’m at a point where I need help.’ And that was the first step. And then it was like okay, the writes started to get better, I started to get those holds on songs and I could tell He was helping me work through it.”
Trent strongly believes God helped to keep him occupied and distracted so he wouldn’t focus on the contractual issues, and he says, “I just started some really good habits. Within the first 20 minutes that I wake up I do have to get coffee. I usually stumble straight to the coffee pot and then I try to pray or read my Bible every morning and find something that just keep throughout the day. You got to have something to hold on to. When you have a year like I just had you better have something that’s real to have hope. I had no hope at one point and now I have more hope and thankful to God for it.”
Not only does Trent have hope, he also has a brand new album and a top 40 single with the title track from his album, “You Got ‘Em All.”

You need to be so busy doing something else that you forget about this.’ And I just started some really good habits. Within the first 20 minutes that I wake up I do have to get coffee.
