Danielle Bradbery is a huge animal lover with two rescue dogs of her own, Mike and Brad. Those aren’t typical “dog” names, so Danielle recently explained the story behind their names. She says, “It’s kind of a nerdy story. So I got a puppy for my boyfriend a couple Christmases ago and they could not figure out a name for her. And she’s at his parents’ house. They loved her so much that they kept her. And so they’re like, ‘Let’s just name her Simone.’ And that’s my middle name. And so they call her Mo.”
Fast forward to Danielle and her boyfriend Brent moving in together, in a place that was dangerously within walking distance to the Humane Society. They adopted their first dog and decided to keep the middle name theme going by naming him Mike, which is her boyfriend’s middle name. And then when they adopted their second dog, Brad, Danielle says, “This is actually so funny and my boyfriend probably hates that I’m telling this, but he is so into movies and so into actors such as Brad Pitt. And he goes let’s just name him Brad. I’m like, ‘You’re crazy, but okay.’”
Danielle has been staying busy promoting her latest single, “Worth It,” which is probably a good thing since it keeps her from wandering back over to the Humane Society to adopt even more dogs.

And then, we went back and got our other dog, Brad.
