(AUDIO) MIDLAND LOVES CONVERTING NEW FANS TO COUNTRY MUSIC

Midland recently played Bonnaroo, which is a primarily pop and rock festival that happens annually just outside of Nashville.  They were one of only a couple country acts on the bill, but Jess Carson says, “We get really excited about playing all-genre festivals and all-genre audiences. We get a lot of people come up to us and saying that they don’t listen to country but they love us or things like that. So, if we can be kind of a bridge or bringing people into the genre, I think it’s a really cool thing.”

Midland loves playing their brand of throwback country, like “Drinkin’ Problem” and their current hit, “Burn Out” at these all-genre festivals, and Jess says, “Maybe some people will be walking by on their way somewhere and hear some EDM or something and their ears will perk up and they’ll come be converted.”

The band just announced their first headlining tour, the Electric Rodeo Tour, which will run from October 24 – December 14, following their stint on Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes Tour.  Visit midlandofficial.com for a complete list of their tour dates.
