Eli Young Band’s Mike Eli is totally smitten with his five-year-old little girl, Kline, and he is constantly impressed by her and what she’s capable of at such a young age. For instance, Mike says, “She’s one of the best little 5-year-old swimmers I’ve ever seen. She has a backstroke like a real competitive swimmer and it’s unbelievable.”
Keeping Kline in swimming lessons since she was a baby has been a pretty expensive undertaking, but Mike says, “When I saw her doing the backstroke for the first time I had zero regrets because being able to know how to do that and to be five years old and to be able to swim across an Olympic size swimming pool with a backstroke is absolutely incredible to witness. So she impresses the heck out of me every day.”
Unfortunately Mike doesn’t always get to see Kline in the pool or take her to swim lessons because the Eli Young Band is out touring this summer, promoting their new single, “Love Ain’t.”
