Midland admits that as a trio they don’t always agree about their music. As Mark Wystrach explains, “There’s six different ways to skin a cat. Part of the trick is that tension and being able to work through those things, and that’s when you really do get the emotion.”
Cameron Duddy agrees and says, “We definitely have different tastes on certain things that we have to vet, which makes the process a bit longer, but ultimately it’s the only way to do something if there’s three of you.”
One song the guys all agreed on immediately, which they co-wrote with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, is their current single, “Burn Out.”
