Tyler Rich comes by his musical talents honestly, because grew up around a musical family. Tyler, who is climbing the charts with his debut single, “The Difference,” says, “My dad and his younger brother, my Uncle Tim, every Christmas, every family get together, my Uncle would show up with his guitar and all of his best friends and man, they would just sit around playing anything from Garth (Brooks) to Brooks & Dunn to the Beatles, Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater, anything like that when I was younger. And I used to just get wrapped up in watching them play for hours.”
In his very early teenage years, it was Tyler’s grandmother who fulfilled his wish of getting him his first guitar as a Christmas present and Tyler jokes, “The next year I was showing ‘em how to play.”
In reality he says, “My uncle still schools me, but that’s how it’s supposed to be.”

“I grew up around a musical family. Credence Clearwater, anything like that when I was younger. And I used to just get wrapped up in watching them play for hours, and when I was 12, 13 I told my grandma, I was like, ‘Hey, I want to play with the guys.’ And I didn’t even know if they would accept me, this kid picking up a guitar. And that Christmas my grandma bought me a guitar. She gave it to me and the next year I was showing ‘em how to play (laughs). My uncle still schools me, but that’s how it’s supposed to be.”
