(AUDIO) THOMAS RHETT HAS A PROBLEM WITH HIS MUSIC, BUT IT’S A GOOD ONE TO HAVE

These days when you look at the country music charts, it seems there are some songs that fly right up the charts in a relatively short time, and then there are songs that take months and months and months to make their way toward the top.  Thomas Rhett is fortunate and grateful to have some of the faster moving songs, but he also says, “Both are a blessing and a curse.  Like a song like ‘Marry Me,’ I think went up the chart in like 15 weeks or something.  But it didn’t even ever feel like a hit until 25 weeks after it came out, just because I think it takes … sometimes it takes me a long time to digest songs on the radio when they go that fast, and so it’s a blessing and a curse.”

Thomas is never going to complain about having a hit song, no matter how long it takes, but he also knows sometimes it takes fans a little longer to really latch onto a song, which can be hard to do when they move so fast, but ultimately he says, “I feel so blessed that radio even likes the songs I’m putting out,” like his latest top ten hit, “Life Changes.”
