The guys in Midland are best known as Mark, Cameron and Jess, but it turns out they all have nicknames in the group. “I’ll tell you my nickname but I can’t tell you the full story behind it,” says Mark, “but it is Randall Shtorm.”

Cameron quickly points out that he left out part of the name.  So Mark clarifies that his full nickname is “Involuntary Deputy Air Marshal Randall Shtorm.”  And he adds, “Cameron is known as Spam.”  Although no explanation is given for his nickname, either.

Jess’ nickname is a little more self-explanatory.  They call him Latte, because Mark explains, “He loves lattes.  There’s no secret to that.”

All of the nicknames are things that have been born from hours and hours of time on the road together and Mark explains, “They’re a way that you cut and burn a lot of times, is just by cracking jokes.  And it’s a lot of fun, man, and if you’re not having fun, why the hell are you doing it?”

The guys are definitely having fun these days playing the summertime fair and festival circuit and introducing new fans to their brand of country music, like their current single, “Burn Out.”
