(AUDIO) MIDLAND’S ‘BURN OUT’ VIDEO DIDN’T REQUIRE MUCH ACTING

Midland’s latest video for their song Burn Out was filmed at the famous Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, and it features the band playing in the honky tonk, while lead singer Mark Wystrach tries to help one of the waitresses escape the unwanted advances of the local bar fly.  When it came to getting into the character for the video, there really wasn’t a whole lot they needed to do to prepare.  “It’s where we come from,” explains Mark.  “We’re not based to Nashville, we’re based in Austin Texas and this band was started in Texas and grew up in the honky tonks in and around Texas, Arizona, out in California, Bakersfield. That’s our natural habitat. So when you’re watching ‘Burn Out,’ it’s not really jumping into characters it’s just trying to almost capture what it’s like to be a Saturday night in Midland, two years ago, three years ago before millions of people knew our names and knew who we were.”

Midland is getting ready to head out on the fall leg of Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes Tour.  In the meantime, you can watch their video for “Burn Out” on their YouTube channel.
