(AUDIO) BRETT YOUNG SHARES THE INSPIRATION FOR “HERE TONIGHT”

Brett Young’s new single, “Here Tonight,” is the first release off his forthcoming album, Ticket to L.A., which will be released on December 7th.  Brett co-wrote the song with Ben Caver, Justin Ebach and Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and he says, “’Here Tonight’ is a song that kind of came from a conversation I was having with Charles and Ben and Justin, just about those moments in your life—if you’re lucky enough to have them—where you’re having an incredible moment, and in the middle of it you have this thought that comes to you. And that thought is, I wish that this moment could last forever. You know, it’s so good that if I could, I would live this moment for the rest of my life.”

Whether that moment is a wedding or a party or a date or a lazy Sunday with the ones you love, Brett says, “It just was kind of an idea of writing a song where no matter what that moment might be, anybody listening to this song could make it their moment that they wish could last forever. And that’s how we came up with ‘Here Tonight’.”

Fans can pre-order Brett’s new album now, either by itself or as a limited edition bundle, on BrettYoungMusic.com.

Brett Young – how came up with Here Tonight  :35

“’Here Tonight’ is a song that kind of came from a conversation I was having with Charles and Ben and Justin, just about those moments in your life—if you’re lucky enough to have them—where you’re having an incredible moment, and in the middle of it you have this thought that comes to you. And that thought is, I wish that this moment could last forever. You know, it’s so good that if I could, I would live this moment for the rest of my life. As we were writing, it became something even more simple than that, and it just was kind of an idea of writing a song where no matter what that moment might be, anybody listening to this song could make it their moment that they wish could last forever. And that’s how we came up with ‘Here Tonight’.”
