(AUDIO) TYLER RICH IS A TRUE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SPORTS FAN

Tyler Rich has a lot to be excited about these days.  He just released his four-song, debut EP on Friday, featuring his debut single, “The Difference,” and he’s excited because it’s football season.  Tyler enjoys pretty much all sports, but he says, “Football, my favorite, hands down.”

When it comes to his favorite teams, Tyler was raised in Yuba City, California, which is about 40 miles north of Sacramento, so he says, “I was raised a Northern California sports fan, so San Francisco Giants for baseball, San Francisco 49ers for football, Golden State Warriors for basketball.  I root for the Sacramento Kings and stuff too, of course.  And as far as college, I’m a Notre Dame fan.”

As for the other Northern California NFL team, the Oakland Raiders, Tyler says, “What’s funny is growing up there, half of my friends and half my family are all Raiders fans. So it’s just been wonderful for crap talking, and it’s made holidays wonderful, you know, like just everything bad I can say about the Raiders because they’ve earned it.”

While Tyler is not a fan of the Oakland Raiders, he’s excited for their move to Las Vegas in 2020, because he says, “I feel like them going to Vegas is perfect. I don’t think they could have picked a better place. I actually love the fact that they went to Vegas. I think it’s perfect for their persona. The new stadium looks frickin’ amazing. I can’t wait to go to a game there.”

But make no mistake, even though he’s excited to see the Raiders play in Las Vegas, Tyler will always be a San Francisco 49ers fan.
