As a group for 18 years, Rascal Flatts has achieved more than they could have ever dreamed of in the music business. Jay DeMarcus says, “I feel like every day that we live past what we’ve already been able to do is a blessing and just more icing on top of an already delicious cake. And we’ve already done more than I ever imagined or dreamed we would ever be able to do so I don’t think I could look back with any regrets or any feelings of ‘Oh my gosh I wish we could have done…’
Despite exceeding their greatest expectations, Rascal Flatts isn’t ready to quit anytime soon. They just released their new single, “Back to Life,” and Jay jokes, “I was satisfied ten years ago, but I got bills to pay. I got a mountain of debt and kids.”
In all seriousness, he says, “I still love what we do which is maybe the greatest blessing of all, is still loving to get up and do it every day and be in front of the fans and make new music. But I don’t think I’ll look back with any regrets.”
