(AUDIO) ELI YOUNG BAND’S JON JONES WAS PARTLY INSPIRED TO PURSUE MUSIC BY GWEN STEFANI

A lot of artists remember the concert or the album that lit the fire within them to want to pursue music and perform live on stage, and for Jon Jones of Eli Young Band, he says, “The concert I remember the most was in high school. My parents let me break curfew and go out late and go see 311 who is from my hometown. And it was just an awesome jam-packed shows – 311, No Doubt (fronted by Gwen Stefani), and a band called The Urge.”

Jon, who plays bass for EYB says, “It was just in this big concrete hall and just a ton of, like, kids my age just having a wild time. I mean I’d never seen anything like that. Just jumping up and down and I was hooked on the idea of playing music for a living at that point.”

Eli Young Band has shows lined up through mid-December to help promote their latest single, “Love Ain’t.”  And they also have plans to play New Year’s Eve at the House of Blues in Houston.  Check eliyoungband.com for details.
