(AUDIO) TYLER RICH ALWAYS PERFORMS FOR 80,000 PEOPLE

Tyler Rich, whose debut single, “The Difference,” is in the top 30, just joined Brett Young for his CMT Here Tonight Tour.  When it comes to pre-show rituals, Tyler says, “We’ll always, 100%, Throat Coat tea with honey and a little bit of whiskey for a hot toddy, do some push-ups, get the blood flowing.”

Something else Tyler and his band do before each show is a pre-show huddle.  In the huddle he says,  “We tell each other why we appreciate each other before we walk up on stage.  Gets everybody on the same page.  And we break every time on 80,000 is what we say.  Because we played a show, a 9:00am festival show, to a breakfast of people sitting down eating eggs, and we were like, ‘This is gonna be the worst over our lives.’ And we went out there and we played it, our normal show, as if there was 80,000 people out there and it ended up being one of the funnest shows we’ve ever played. So since that day every single time now, we play to 80,000, whether it’s five or 10,000 in the crowd. So that’s one of our traditions for sure.”

Tyler will be on the road with Brett Young through mid-December.  You can get a complete list of his upcoming tour dates on TylerRich.com.

“There’s the physical side of it.  We’ll always, 100%, Throat Coat tea with honey and a little bit of whiskey for a hot toddy, do some push-ups, get the blood flowing. My guys and I we huddle up and we tell each other why we appreciate each other before we walk up on stage.
