Tyler Rich got his first guitar from his grandmother when he was a teenager, and he says, “Very first song I learned how to play, my buddy Casey, back in my hometown, he had just started to learn how to play ‘Stand By Me’ and it was just as simple as bom bom bom (tick) bom … bom, bom bom, bom, bom.”
But Tyler quickly learned that as simple as the song sounded, learning to play it was really hard. But once he mastered that one he says, “Then my uncle taught me ‘Friends in Low Places.’ And then I switched it up and learned to Blink 182 ‘Dammit.’”
These days Tyler is using his guitar skills to write songs for his debut album, which will feature his latest single, “The Difference.”
