Tyler Rich is a talented musician and performer, and he loves getting up in front of a crowd to perform his song, “The Difference,” but when it comes to playing sports in front of a crowd, it’s a completely different story. Tyler loves watching sports and he used to play in high school until he decided to pursue music, and he says, “When I go out into a park with some buddies and play football, a pick a basketball game, or anything like that it’s fun and I’m good and I’m competitive and it’s crazy. But the second you threw jersey on me with a number and put fans in a stand, anybody watching that I didn’t know, I was like a toddler trying to friggin do anything.”
So while Tyler wishes he was more athletic in front of spectators, he says, “I’m so glad that I was a little weird toddler that couldn’t play sports because it led me to music.”
Tyler Rich – wish he was better at :38
“Man I wish I was as athletic as I want to be. I mean I love sports. I watch sports all day every day. And I used to play in high school until about halfway through when I realized I was better at guitar and I was like, ‘What am I gonna put my focus in after school?’ And I put it into guitar and singing. But man, when I go out into a park with some buddies and play football, a pick a basketball game, or anything like that it’s fun and I’m good and I’m competitive and it’s crazy. But the second you threw jersey on me with a number and put fans in a stand, nybody watching that I didn’t know, I was like a toddler trying to friggin do anything. I’m so glad that I was a little weird toddler that couldn’t play sports because it led me to music.”
