Midland’s music, like their latest single, “Burn Out,” and their fashion has kind of a throwback feel, so what does it look like when they look out into the audience at their concerts. Cameron Duddy says, “It’s kind of the craziest thing. You know, we’ve all spent a lot of time at concerts growing up and professionally in different facets. But I feel like we are unique in the fact that you could have a 12-year old girl to a 65- year old man and all different types and shapes of people in the audience singing our music. It’s kind of fascinating.”
You might expect an older crowd at Midland shows, who long for the days of late 70’s and early 80’s sounding country music, but the guys have a modern twist on their throwback sound and are so fun and throw such a party when they’re on stage, that Cameron says, “Even in middle America we were at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and it was surprising the demographic and the mix of people that were in there. So it’s very cool. It’s unique I feel like, because we’ve spent time opening it for other artists and you don’t get that kind of dynamic in the audience as often. So, we’re very grateful for that.”
Midland is currently in Canada with Little Big Town on The Breakers Tour, and later this year they’ll continue The Electric Rodeo Tour. For all the details, visit MidlandOfficial.com.
