(AUDIO) BRETT YOUNG IS HAPPY FOR COUNTRY MUSIC’S ENGAGED GUYS

Brett Young has only been married for a little over four months, but compared to the crop of guys in country music who are currently engaged, he’s kind of the veteran of the bunch when it comes to handling marriage and a career.  Tyler Rich, Luke Combs Michael Ray and Devin Dawson are all engaged to be married, so we wondered if Brett had any advice for the guys.  He said, “I don’t think I have any room to give advice. I’m still figuring it out too.  But the advice is just be home whenever you can be home and be together whenever you’ve got to even if it’s on the road.”

But one thing that Brett really loves and he’s sure the engaged guys are enjoying too, is the ability to be open and share their relationships with their fans.  He says, “It’s so funny, I think that’s one of my favorite things about country music is, coming from L.A., there was always this need for male artists to appear single. I don’t care, if you’ve been with your girlfriend for X amount, or if you’re married, you need to appear available, but never be available was the whole thing. And I always hated that.  And it’s one thing I love about country music, is the country music fans embrace love and relationships and romance.”

Chances are Brett might attend at least a couple of future weddings.  Luke Combs attended his wedding and even sang at it, and Brett says, “Me and Taylor hang out with Luke and Nicole all the time and so it was so fun to see that for them. And we got to go to dinner with them right after we found out, and kind of congratulate them, and they’re crazy in love. They’re going to be fine. And Michael and Carly, I’ve known Carly since I first moved to town and it was fun to see them connect and hit it off.”

Besides celebrating love, Brett is excited to be celebrating his latest single, “Here Tonight,” which just jumped into the top five on the charts, and looks like it’s close to being his fifth #1 song in a row.
