Brantley Gilbert just announced his second annual Kick It in the Ship Cruise, which will set sail from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico, November 4th – 8th. Last year Brantley invited a bunch of his friends on the cruise, including Luke Combs, Michael Ray and Colt Ford, which meant tons of live music on board for the fans, and this year he promises more of the same.
Last year Brantley was concerned about whether the first annual cruise would ever set sail because he said, “I saw a thing the other day about a cruise where it got docked because ten people got in a fight. So I don’t know if we’re actually ever gonna leave port, to be honest. You know, we got a rowdy bunch of artists on that thing, let alone the fans that are comin’. But I think it’s gonna be a lot of fun. If we do get out to sea, we’re gonna have an absolute blast.”
For what it’s worth, everyone on the first cruise was so well behaved that the ship’s crew even praised them for being one of the best groups they had on board.
Brantley also talked about his cruise attire, since he doesn’t exactly seem like a shorts and flip flops kind of guy. He said, “If I could get this dad bod off, I ain’t gonna be rockin’ a shirt, but yeah, I probably ain’t gonna show my chicken legs much on it.”
Brantley hasn’t announced the line-up of artists who will be joining him for this year’s Kick It in the Ship Cruise, but perhaps his latest duet partner, Lindsay Ell, will be on the invite list, so they can sing their song “What Happens in a Small Town” together.
