(AUDIO) MIDLAND IS FOLLOWING IN THEIR HEROES FOOTSTEPS

Throughout their lives, Midland has been impacted by many songs from their favorite artists, and now that they’re making music that is impacting other people, they consider it a great honor.  Mark Wystrach says, “Getting to open for Dwight Yoakam and Willie Nelson, when you’re on that stage, it’s the most humbling, spiritual, emotional experience because you’ve watched these artists convey the human experience and write the songs that are the soundtracks of people’s lives.”

Now that Midland is writing and performing songs that will hopefully become the soundtrack to other people’s lives, Mark says, “It’s amazing and I think all of us would agree that we are, not to wear out the phrase, but, living the dream.”

Midland will soon be releasing their next single, which will be the first release off their sophomore album, being released later this year.

Midland – music soundtrack to people’s lives  :43

Mark Wystrach – “Getting to open for Dwight Yoakam and Willie Nelson, when you’re on that stage, it’s the most humbling, spiritual, emotional experience because you’ve watched these artists convey the human experience and write the songs that are the soundtracks of people’s lives. And when you are sharing the stage with somebody like Willie Nelson, it’s this sudden validation that, yes, I belong here. And yes, we have this great opportunity and this great honor to try and emulate what these guys have done before us and to get to write the songs that hopefully will be the soundtracks of people’s lives for the good times and the bad times. So, it’s amazing and I think all of us would agree that we are, not to wear out the phrase, but, living the dream.”
