Riley Green wrote his debut single, “There Was This Girl,” about some of the dumb things he’s done to impress a girl, but he says, “That’s probably one of the most relatable thoughts I could imagine for a guy, doing something crazy to try to win over the attention of a girl.”
So it’s not surprising that a lot of guys have shared how they relate to the song in their own lives. Riley says, “Social media I’ll get blown up with people telling me that’s kind of something that they went through at some point in time. I don’t know about a specific thing, but there’s a lot of guys that definitely went through that, especially in my early 20s, that was kind of my story.”
Riley will join Brad Paisley for his 2019 World Tour beginning in May.
