(AUDIO) JUSTIN MOORE TRIES TO KEEP LIFE AS NORMAL AS POSSIBLE FOR HIS KIDS

With four kids at home, Justin Moore wants to make sure he and his wife are always doing what they can to keep them grounded, no matter what he does for a living or how much money he makes.  One big part of that was moving his family back to Arkansas, but Justin says another decision he and his wife Kate made when they started having kids was not to have a nanny.  Justin is very quick to clarify, “I’ve got great friends that have nannies for their kids and there’s not a thing wrong with that at all, especially with what we do, it’s tough not to have one. But we’ve never had a nanny, so our kids see us do everything for them. And again, there’s nothing at all in the world wrong if you do. But I think that helps them go, ‘Well, Dad was up on stage a while ago. That was cool. But now he’s bathing me. I think there’s something to that that helps.”

Because Justin’s job as a famous country music singer isn’t normal, he says, “We try to be as normal as possible if that makes sense, in every sense of the word, whether it be spending or trips. We do the same things that their friends and their parents are doing that they go to school with. And so, I think that, all that helps.”

Of course, most kids can’t turn on the radio and hear their dad’s latest single, like Justin’s “The Ones That Didn’t Make it Back Home,” but it’s something they’ve become accustomed to, plus most of the time Justin says his kids want to listen to anything but his music.

“There’s nothing wrong with people, I mean I’ve got great friends that have nannies for their kids and there’s not a thing wrong with that at all, especially with what we do. It’s tough not to have one. But we’ve never had a nanny, so our kids see us do everything for them. And again, there’s nothing at all in the world wrong if you do. But I think that helps them go, ‘Well, Dad was up on stage a while ago. That was cool. But now he’s bathing me. I think there’s something to that that helps. And that’s just us, that’s just the way we operate, but we try to be as normal as possible if that makes sense, in every sense of the word, whether it be spending or trips. We do the same things that their friends and their parents are doing that they go to school with. And so, I think that, all that helps.”
