Brantley Gilbert is a big hunter, and he even set up a deer camp on his property down in Georgia for veterans to be able to come down and do some deer hunting. When it comes to a bucket list hunt that he hasn’t done yet, Brantley says, “I’ve hunted just about every … well I can’t say that. There’s a lot of stuff I haven’t hunted, but the Georgia stuff I’ve pretty much been on those hunts. I will say I’ve never killed a caribou. I went up to Alaska to try to do that for like 2 weeks, 14 hours a day and never saw one, so I think that’s probably a bucket list hunt. And I’d probably like to go on brown bear hunt, grizzly at some point.”
Perhaps Brantley will have a chance to cross those bucket list hunts off his list in the future, but for now, he is busy promoting his latest single, “What Happens in a Small Town,” and preparing to release his next album later this year. Brantley says, “I don’t really have time for any more hobbies. You know, hunting season is a hobby in itself. I’m lucky if I get to go turkey hunting a couple times and usually, I got some time off during deer season.”
This year, right around the time deer season rolls around, Brantley will be preparing to welcome his second child, a baby girl into the world, so he may not have much time to get out and go hunting.
