Rascal Flatts will be taking a break from their Summer Playlist Tour and promoting their latest single, “Back to Life,” to come home to Nashville for country music’s biggest event, CMA Music Festival. The guys make a point to be at CMA Music Festival every year that they can because it’s a chance for them to interact with thousands of their fans in a sea of country music loving people. And Joe Don Rooney says, “That’s what this week, CMA Fest week, is about. There’s just a mass of humanity that comes into Nashville every year for this. And we’re lucky in country music to have this kind of festival. There’s really no other genres of music that I know of that has a festival like this, and it’s great for our community and it’s great to have all the fans from all over the country and really all over the world here in Nashville for this week.”
Rascal Flatts will be one of the headliners at the nightly stadium show on Thursday night, June 6th, and every time they perform at CMA Music Festival, they try to squeeze as much excitement and energy into their short set because Joe Don says they realize, “Some of ‘em make it the vacation of their year. They come to Nashville for the only vacation they can take. So that’s special. And Jay, Gary and I look forward to hittin’ the stage every year and try to rock it out for all the fans because I know that’s what they want. It’s a great week.”
CMA Music Festival officially kicks off this Thursday, June 6th, and runs through Sunday, June 9th in downtown Nashville.
