Justin Moore has four kids under the age of nine, and he admits that since becoming a father he hasn’t gotten too much more emotional, only because he was already an emotional guy to begin with. Justin says, “I’m a pretty emotional, sensitive guy and always have been, really. I’ll cry watching a documentary or whatever. So that’s never changed, except it probably has heightened that. I’m probably more so, especially if ESPN does all these 30 for 30s, and think I was watching one of them it was about a kid that all he wanted to do was meet the coach of some football team or something like that and I boo hooed.”
Starting out as the father of three little girls, before his son South came along, Justin says he definitely had to realize that his girls can be very sensitive and emotional themselves sometimes, so patience and understanding have come in very handy for those moments.
Justin’s emotional latest song, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” which is a tribute to the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country, is currently sitting in the top 20 on the charts and continuing to climb, as Justin prepares to release his new album, Late Nights and Longnecks, on July 26th.
