(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN GREW UP IN THE TIME IT TOOK HIM TO FIND SUCCESS

Like so many artists in Nashville, it took Riley Green quite a few years to really get his career off the ground, but in some ways he considers it a blessing, because it gave him time to grow up and prepare for the responsibility of a music career, although he jokes, “I don’t know if I’m mature enough to deal with it now. We might be messing up now.”

In all seriousness, Riley feels more prepared now to handle the success and the business part of the music business. He says, “It’s definitely gotten to be where, I mean, four years ago, I think it was still a party. You know, I think going out to play was still something that I did just because I enjoyed it and I can make a few bucks.  And now I’ve really kinda got a lot more of a business mind about not only my gigs but how I write songs, what songs to release.  So yeah I think it’s definitely helped that I’ve matured before it kind of came to pass.”

Riley just released his new EP, Get That Man a Beer, featuring his latest single, “In Love by Now.” You can see Riley performing that and other songs off the EP all summer long on the Brad Paisley 2019 World Tour.
