(AUDIO) ELI YOUNG BAND PROUD TO BE RAISING STRONG, CONFIDENT DAUGHTERS

The Eli Young Band’s most recent #1 song, “Love Ain’t.” is all about letting people know what they shouldn’t accept in a loving relationship.  Along those same lines, the fathers in Eli Young Band admit one of the biggest challenges in raising little girls, is instilling and nurturing self-confidence and self-worth in them.  Lead singer Mike Eli admits being a good dad is an ongoing process, but he says, “Any time [my daughter Kline] says she wants to do something, I always support that. I think that this day and age she can go out there and take over the world if she wants to. And I try to reiterate that and try to make sure that she knows that whatever she wants in her life, she can go out there and she can take it as long as she works hard for it.”

Bassist Jon Jones had a proud moment with his young daughter the other day, which made him realize that she is getting the right messages from him and his wife.  He shared, “My daughter, who’s two and a half, she made the statement yesterday – my son, who’s six, he’s all about playing with cars and Legos – and she made the statement that boys play with cars and Legos. And I’m like, ‘Well Lyla, what do girls do?’ And she said, ‘Girls can do ANYTHING.’”

As a follow-up to “Love Ain’t,” Eli Young Band just released their brand new song, “Break It In.”
